Pastikan hostingnya mengaktifkan fungsi php exec(). Itu aja. Coba
bikin berkas php pake nama terserah. Isinya kira-kira:

phpinfo();
?>
Kemudian lihat pada baris disabled_function apakah exec termasuk di
dalamnya. Kalau termasuk berarti ganti hosting deh... :) Soalnya yang
satu ini tidak bisa diakalin dengan .htaccess
