Kalau di perpustakaan kami, kode barkode (kode koleksi) dan kode inventaris (nomor induk koleksi) mirip tapi tidak sama. Misalnya : kode koleksi 02085.10 maka kode inventaris-nya INV/02085.10 (sesuai dengan contoh di panduan SLiMS) Untuk keperluan transaksi (sirkulasi) tentu saja menggunakan kode koleksi (bukan kode inventaris).
