Aims of the Software
ABCD, Software aims at providing an integrated library management tool covering
all main functions in a library, i.e. bibliographic database management, users
management, loans management, end-user searching on local and external
bibliographic databases, library portal and RFID Technology.....
General Considerations
• cataloguing of books and serials, independently of the format:
MARC, LILACS, AGRIS, etc.
• end-user searching (OPAC),
• loans circulation,
• acquisitions,
• statistics,
• compatible with CDS/ISIS technology: reading ISIS-databases,
ISIS Formatting Language (PFT) and indexing (FST) of records;
• MARC-21 cataloging formats and other current protocols (Dublin Core, METS,
Z39.50...);
• multi-lingual,
General
• library services like SDI, barcode printing, quality control ...
