V15ers and Team Racers:

Spring has finally arrived in New England so the V15/team racing season will
soon be upon us here. The 3rd Annual V15 Tuesday Night Series in Newport,
RI will be there again to fulfill your V15 cravings! Interest has grown
since the first year, with enough boats for up to 3 full team races (18
boats). We look forward to seeing even more boats out this summer!

Short story: We meet ready-to-launch at SailNewport at 5:30 and sail until
dusk. Traditionally, this series has used a random 3v3 team racing format.
This season we will add a bit of 2v2 team racing and fleet racing to spice
things up. This is a casual racing series that caters to beginner through
advanced V15ers and team racers. One doesn't need to necessarily have a
boat, skipper and/or crew, or team race team or even know how to team race
to come. Also, regular participants will be required to sign up for
occasional RC duties. There is a fee to sail the series and to store your
boat on your dolly for the season. There will also be several weekend
events in the RI area that will be organized through, or in part by, this
Fleet. Racing starts early June and goes into September.

This email serves as a one-time notice to the NEISA and ICSA groups. If you
will be in the RI area this summer and want to race, or want to stay in tune
with RI V15/Team Race on-goings, reply by email and I will put you on the
Fleet email list. Also, for those who receive this by being on the 2006
email list, reply if you want off (note: ICSA & NEISA subscribers are
getting this now for the first time - I got tagged as spam; V15, USTRA, BTRL
and '06 Newport Team Racers have already received). Future emails will go
out to the Fleet email list only.
