Day One results from Tufts Upper Mystic Lake was a mirror upon arrival until well after 1:00.A very light Northerly filled in, faded, then filled again and got better and better as the sun began warming the region. Racing got under way by about 2:30 but only one round-robin could be completed among the seven teams.
The Medford Boat Club opened their doors and their floats to all teams. Coaches and spectators enjoyed a perfect view from the heated second floor lounge looking right down on the starting line.
All N courses, wind direction averaged due North, with speeds as low as three knots in the early races to as much as ten knots.
Lots of close racing. URI was nearly a spoiler with really close races against BC and Brown and a breakaway win over Tufts.

Day Two results from TuftsNortheast winds consistently blew down the length of Upper Mystic Lake Lake all day. A one mile course was set and rarely adjusted. Despite cold temperatures and drizzle the well dressed sailors stayed warm all day with continuous team racing action on the "N" using all 24 color coordinated Larks.
The coaches and spectators on the other hand, stayed warm in the Medford Boat Club, with the upper deck looking directly over the leeward mark.
Round One was completed with 16 races, as 12 races were decided in the seeding rounds from MIT and Tufts the day before. A second round of 28 races was completed by 4:00 with one resail for a broken bridle. This resail afforded the only opportunity for this PRO to watch an entire race close up. If this Yale-St. Mary's race was an example of other races, then this must have been a great regatta. The action between these two skilled teams was fast and furious on every leg. Yale finally took a semblance of control on the last leg with slightly better tacks for a close 1-2 finish.
Very few protests resulting in one DSQ. Final results: 1. Yale 12-2 2. Boston College 9-5 3. Tufts 8-6 4. Brown 8-6 4. St. Mary's 8-6 6. Boston University 7-7 7. MIT 2-12 7. Vermont 2-12ties: Tufts beat Brown and St. Mary's on total points when the teams met. Brown and St. Mary's had the same points when they met, as did MIT and Vermont. Win-Loss grid is attached.
