FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: Postponed until noon waiting for the mist to clear and the wind to
build.
South wind was unstable and shifty at about 2 to 10 knots throughout the
afternoon.
Course was a Windward/leeward twice around with a windward offest and leeward
gate.
Sunday- Sunday happened to be Mrs. Hurst's Birthday, 83 years young! Plenty of
cake and brownies!
No wind in the morning. Race 5B was at 12:30, followed by a long wait for the
wind to stabilize. Race 6B was held at about 2:30 in 3-5 knots from the north.
Race 7A was held in the best breeze of the day at 4-8 knots. But it was too
good to be true, and the wind became very unstable once B division came back
out.
Race 7B was held at 4:10 in a nice easterly puff that held on for a good race.
Thanks to all the race committee volunteers from the Dartmouth Sailing Team,
and to all of the teams that traveled from out of conference to make it a great
event!
Congratulations to the College of Charleston Cougars for an excellent win, and
to Harvard for a close second!
