Falmouth Yacht Club 420 Regatta - July 25-26, 2009 Falmouth Yacht Club is committed in 2009 to hosting the best 420 event of the summer. The event will be for 420’s only, and open to all sailors. Falmouth Yacht Club has assembled a great regatta committee to ensure a great experience for the sailors on and off the water. The on water race management will be lead by a team of Rob Richards, Ryan Richards, and Harvard Sailing Coach Mike O’Connor. The goal of the event is to run a lot of races, and keep it fun for all of the sailors. The regatta committee has been reaching out to local yacht clubs from all over New England on commitments to participate in the regatta. We are expecting 100+ 420’s, and do not have a cap on the number of boats. This will be a great tune-up regatta for the 420 Nationals in Rhode Island. We encourage sailors coming into the area from outside of New England to participate in the event. Falmouth offers great weather and consistent sea breezes. We are encouraging yacht clubs to bring support boats, and coach their sailors on the water. The regatta committee is planning breakfast both mornings, and dinner after sailing on both days.
