Old Guard Trophy @ Brown
for the Owen, Mosbacher, and Knapp Trophies
March 27-28, 2010

Saturday:
A cold but sunny day with temps in the low 40's and a dying N/NE breeze to
start the day. One set in each division in the N/NE wind at 4-12 knots. Two
abandoned races in sketchy conditions with lots of time waiting for the breeze
to stabilize. More than a two hour delay on land as we waited for the
seabreeze to fill in at around 4pm. One more set in each division from 4pm-til
6pm in a southerly at 7-10 knots. All courses were windward/leewards with an
offset and gates. No protests or breakdowns.

Sunday:
Another very cold day but with great breeze from S/SE at 12-16 knots. 8 races
sailed in each division on windward/leeward courses. No protests or breakdowns.

A huge thanks to our judges Kim Hapgood and Ted Green. Thanks as well to the
Brown sailors who helped out:
Tommy Fink '13, Tucker Adams '11, Evan Gill '12, Jessica Claflin '13, and Brent
Lunghino '12, Niki Osvalds '11, and Jacob Tower '11.

Yale wins the Owen (Overall winner) and Mosbacher (Top Ivy League school)
Trophies over Brown. The USMMA-King's Point wins the Knapp Trophy as the top
service academy in sixth overall. Final Results can be found at
