NOTICE OF RACE
1. Rules
1.1 The Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing
Rules of Sailing for 2009-2012 (RRS), the prescriptions of US Sailing, the
Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Procedural Rules (PR), Conditions
for ICSA National Semi-Finals, this Notice of Race (NOR) and the Sailing
Instructions (SI's). The Organizing Authority is the ICSA in conjunction with
the host district NWICSA.
2. Eligibility and Entry
2.1 Only ICSA Pre-Qualified Teams are eligible to compete. Selection of
competing
schools for this Semi-Finals regatta will be by Conference
elimination. The ICSA
will publish the list of teams selected to attend this event.
2.2 Entries and payment shall be submitted online at the following
website: http://www.collegesailing.org/nwicsa/semis/index.html
3. Entry Fee
The entry fee is $125 and must be electronically submitted with a team's entry
information form before April 28, 2010. The entry fee includes tickets for 5
team members for Saturday evening dinner. A late fee of $20 may be imposed for
entries submitted April 28, 2010 or later.
4. Boats
University of Washington and other NWICSA schools will supply Collegiate FJ's,
sails will be supplied by ICSA.
5. Schedule of Races
Eighteen (18) races per A and B Division are scheduled, of which three (3)
races per Division shall be required to constitute a series as provided in the
ICSA PR.

No warning signal will be made after 16:30 on Sunday May 2, 2010.
6. Sailing Instructions
The Sailing Instructions will be available Saturday, May 1 at the Report Time
as well as posted on the event web site.
7. Racing Area
Racing will be conducted on Lake Washington off of the Sail Sand Point Pier.
8. Procedures and Course
Regatta management, procedures and courses will be in accordance to ICSA PR.
9. Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the schools placing First, Second and Third overall.
10. ICSA National Championships Qualifying
The top nine (9) teams of the Western Semifinal will qualify for the ICSA Gill
National Championship Finals June 1-3, 2010.
11. Housing and Transportation
Housing and transportation information will be available on the Regatta Web
Site.
