Please come to the 2010 ICSA Afterguard/Alumni Regatta and Banquet hosted by
the University of Wisconsin Sailing Team at the Hoofer Sailing Club on
beautiful Lake Mendota in Madison, Wisconsin. In 1996 the Championships and
this regatta were held on Lake Mendota and we had 37 alumni and friends join
in for what turned out to be the best day of sailing and racing of the
entire 10 day extravaganza! While we can't guarantee those conditions
again, we can offer the great facilities and accommodations that Hoofers and
Madison are so well known for! We want to have even more sailors enjoy this
special day of sailing fun!

All college sailing alumni and friends of college sailing are invited to
come and sail and/or socialize.
Please register early! Depending on turnout, there may be A and B Fleet
racing in either or both Classes. Sailors are encouraged to develop a team
to facilitate organization on Sunday morning. Last race will likely be
about 4:00 pm.
Current college sailors may be able to participate if there are enough
boats, but alumni and friends of college sailing get first priority. Note:
ICSA Procedural Rules regarding event site practice are in effect so sailors
in the area for Championships that have not yet been held are advised to
review those rules. The Afterguard/Alumni Regatta organizers cannot be held
responsible for the failure of Championship competitors to observe and apply
the ICSA Procedural Rules.
What a great way to enjoy your 3-day weekend! Go to your home club opening
day festivities on Saturday, then head to Madison for a day of great times,
then have Monday to plant a flower or two! We sure hope you can attend.
Sincerely,
Gail
