2010 PCCSC Team Race Championship Stanford University
Day 1: We had a late start due to a planned boat parade to open up the port for 2010, so all the sailors had a sleep in and racing got started at noon. The breeze was a blustery SSW breeze from 5-18kts. It was a very shifty day with velocity going up and down. It was tough for the RC to keep up with the big shifts but none the less round 1 of the eight was completed and 9 races were sailed into round two. The forecast for tomorrow is for big wind 20-30 so hopefully we will get some sailing off.
A big thanks to the Stanford sailors and Mikey, a BC alum, for running races. Also, a big thanks to an awesome group of umpires, led by Bryan McDonald, who battled the cold and wind to dispense justice.
Results are attached for round 1 and what we have for round 2 so far. The plan is to finish the second round and do a final four.
