Saturday: Beautiful racing conditions on the Thames River today. 17 races were
sailed in an oscillating North to Northwesterly breeze that ranged from 3-10
knots. A strong out-going current was a huge factor on the racecourse,
especially at the starting line. All courses were W4's with offsets and leeward
gates. One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ. Thanks to judges Peter Johns
and Greg Keily for doing double duty here and at New England Dighies. And also
a big thanks to Coast Guard cadets Joe Dillier '12, Rian Bareuther '13, and
Rebecca O'Connor '13 for working hard all day to keep the course square. Seven
A races and eight B are scheduled for tomorrow.
