**Charter boats are available if you contact event chairman Alex Smith ASAP ([email protected]) or The Dinghy Shop at (631) 264-0005. 12 boats are currently registered online with another 7 or so boats who sent in paper entries that aren't online -- it'd help event organizers a lot if everyone who is planning to attend could register. Forecast for this weekend looks good -- sun and the usual big breeze on the Bay, plus regatta t-shirts, BBQ Saturday night, etc. This is the last major east coast V15 fleet racing regatta of the year before the college kids return to school. There are two more east coast team racing regattas (NYYC Aug. 28-29, Showdown at Fogland Sept. 4-5), along with a bunch of great events in Chicago, San Francisco, the Gulf Coast and other V15 hubs, along with a Columbus Day V15 regatta at Cedar Point YC in CT that is slated to have a dirt cheap entry fee ($15), free housing and a good party ([email protected] for details).
