The 2012 Saisa team Race champs were sailed Saturday April 14th on the
Cooper River, near Crab Bank, in Charleston.
The breeze filled in nicely by 9:45am from the southeast at about 5-8mph,
but died briefly after the second round robin. It filled back in perfectly
from the south at 10mph for the 3rd round. All three rounds were sailed
using the N course and the usual Charleston current challenges were minimal
since the course was set near Crab Bank. It was a beautiful day and all 3
rounds were completed by 3pm.
Thanks to our 4 umpires who travelled to Charleston to help us with the
officiating- Steve Wrigley, John Fox, Jay Keogh and David Dabney. We truly
appreciated their time, talent and efforts.
Thanks too, to the Cougars for managing the race course and congratulations
to Charleston and Miami for finishing 1,2 and qualifying for Nationals.
The rotation grid and RP's are attached and a link to the final results and
scoring grid is below.
