The University of South Florida St. Peterburg (USFSP), located on Tampa Bay
in St. Petersburg, Florida announces a national search for the position of
Head Coed Coach of the highly competitive intercollegiate sailing program.

The Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the administration and
coaching of the University’s intercollegiate coed sailing program, and will
work in coordination with the USF Varsity Women’s Coach as well as various
professional and student staff members.

Essential functions include responsibility for planning and managing the
recruitment, conditioning, education, coaching, and academic performance of
student athletes in a safe, professional manner. Additional
responsibilities include fiscal program management, regatta preparation and
participation, travel schedules and arrangements, equipment upkeep and
organization, and maintenance of documents and records supporting the team.

The coed program is under the auspices of the USFSP Department of Student
Life and Engagement, and is conducted in accordance with all University,
ICSA and applicable Conference regulations and policies.

Job Qualifications

B.S. or B.A.

Experience coaching collegiate sailing

Current US Sailing Level 1 or 2 certification

Current CPR/First Aid Certification

Knowledge of current Racing Rules of Sailing as well as ICSA Procedural
Rules

Travel is required, must be able to maintain a valid drivers license

Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
