Team Race Fans, The MIT Sailing Pavilion is excited to introduce Thursday Night Team Racing in our brand new fleet of Fireflies from now until the end of August. Thursday was chosen to avoid the Tuesday RITRA series and Wednesday nights in Marblehead, and is poised to be the ultimate North vs. South showdown.
Racing will begin each week at 5:30pm and run until sunset. All participants must have an MIT sailing card, and we have created a team racing membership at a reduced rate for those sailors interested in participating in only the Thursday night series. Complete boats are encouraged, but individual skippers and crews are more than welcome and we will create pairings as needed. We have also created a team race mailing list, and we ask for skippers to email the list by noon on Thursday if they plan to race so teams can be created in advance.
