The MAISA Women's Fall Dinghy Champs had 14 teams arrive to a brisk
Northwesterly that kept fading all day. Mike Kuschner did a fantastic job as
PRO keeping the course square and abandoning where appropriate. Unfortunately,
race 11b had to be abandoned twice once with a boat just ten lengths from the
finish and once when the same boat had already crossed the finish line.
Fortunately, the aggrieved party was the home team.
All races were the newly adopted Windward/Two-Fleet ("WTF") course. Thanks to
Cara Vavolotis who served as MAISA rep and Guy Barbato who was chief judge.
Three A division races remain and four in B as teams vie for the right to sail
in the Women's Atlantic Coast Championships—top eight move on. Complete
