HTC launched the HTC Tattoo in cooperation with Taiwan Mobile (TWM) on October 13 with a suggested retail price of NT$13,900 (US$430), targeting the mid-range segment. Sales of HTC's Touch smartphone totaled about 200,000 units during its two-year business circle, making the model the best-selling HTC handset in the local market, according to an estimate by market sources. Meanwhile, HTC also expects domestic sales of its Hero model, which the company launched jointly with Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) in August, to exceed the combined sales of its Diamond and Victor handsets for the past year, Tong added. Sales of the HTC Diamond and HTC Victor are estimated to have reached 100,000 units from their launches in 2008, market sources indicated.
