Just two days before the official launch of Motorola Droid X, Verizon will push Android 2.2 Froyo update to Motorola Droid phones. eWeek.com reported with the reference of Brighthand blog that Verizon will upgrade Motorola Droid on July 13. It is already confirmed that Droid supports the latest Google Mobile OS as unofficial Android 2.2 ROM for Motorola Droid is available online.
Verizon will launch two Android powered phones in the next couple of months. The wireless company and Motorola will release Motorola Droid X on July 15 with Android 2.1 as default OS. Verizon has also confirmed that it will make Droid 2 available on August 23 however Droid 2 will be released with Android 2.2. Droid X will cost $199 with $100 rebate. The price will be only valid with 2 year Verizon Wireless data and voice service contract. Verizon has confirmed that it will push Android 2.2 to Motorola Droid X after its release. There is no confirmation if HTC Droid Incredible will also get Android 2.2. However considering the high-end hardware of the device, the Froyo update for Incredible makes sense. http://moretechnews.com/news/cellular/540424/droid-to-get-android-2-2-on-july-13-droid-x-release-two-day-later.htm -- Salam, Agus Hamonangan http://groups.google.com/group/id-android http://groups.google.com/group/id-gtug Gtalk : agus.hamonangan Follow : @agushamonangan E-mail : [email protected] -- "Indonesian Android Community [id-android]" Join: http://groups.google.com/group/id-android/subscribe?hl=en-GB Moderator: [email protected] ID Android Developer: http://groups.google.com/group/id-android-dev ID Android Surabaya: http://groups.google.com/group/id-android-sby ID Android on FB: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=112207700729
