Justru Google itu keluarin device. Nexus One itu murni hasil olah pikir Google, dan minta "dibuatkan" oleh HTC. Karena Google ga punya pabrik pembuatan, dan mereka bikin Nexus 1 ini sebagai flagship saja semacam pertanda. Makanya di belahan manapun namanya NexusOne, bukan HTC Nexus 1.
Karena penjualannya "agak memprihatinkan" karena awalnya hanya dijual online maka Nexus berikutnya dipilih Samsung. Apalagi saat itu SGS dinilai sangat laku dengan marketing luar biasa, di Jakarta saja disiram secara merata oleh baliho SGS. Namun sepertinya posisi tawar Samsung kali ini agak tinggi, contohnya Samsung ga mau nama nexusnya Nexus2, tapi nexus S dan jeroannya pun sangat mirip SGS. Sepertinya olah pikir teknisi Google juga diintervensi Samsung. Makanya nexus ke 3 mereka merekrut LG, apa pertimbangannya ya? Murah dan nurut?
