It seems as if tablets are intended to replace the computer altogether because the ability to connect them to transfer files and media with a computer seems to be gone or at the very least, overly complicated to implement and get working. This seems to have been the case for XDA member jhild352 <http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3375648> who had a fun time trying to mount the device as storage in his computer in order to transfer some files and a few movies. After a lot of tinkering around with several settings, he finally got it to connect. The best part is that he didn’t want others to go through the same kind of work, so he posted a very detailed guide on how to get this feat accomplished. So, if you wanted to get some movies up and running in your 10.1 Galaxy Tab, make sure that you take this guide and fix your file transfer blues.
