Yang namanya kaca pasti mudah pecah. Tapi yang membedakan keawetan suatu screen itu, menurut saya, justru bukan pada lapisan screen-nya, tapi pada manufaktur casing yang membungkus screen-nya.
Sepintas kelihatan aneh kalau diperhatikan, casing flyer melengkung di ujung atas dan ujung bawahnya. Dan terasa titik berat bebannya ada di bagian bawah. Tapi gunanya desain casing itu baru terasa waktu flyer saya terlempar dari meja setinggi kira-kira semeter karena dipakai rebutan anak saya. Terlempar jauh dan membentur lantai dengan suara nyaring, membuat jantung serasa copot mendengarnya. Saya kira harusnya sudah ada yang pecah. Ketika saya ambil, bahkan tidak ada satu bagianpun yang penyok. Hanya baret kecil di ujung casing. Kejadian itu berulang dua kali. Tadinya saya heran, kenapa kacanya tidak kena impact sedikitpun. Tapi itulah gunanya desain dan bahan baku casing! Jadi IMHO, masalah ketahanan fisik ini bukan di unit screen-nya, tapi justru di casingnya.
