Untuk HTC biasa langsung pakai compressed file .exe yang isinya langsung extracted jadi .zip di temporary windows user folder. Flashing nya bisa langsung execute .exe itu via RUU istilahnya, atau akal²an dengan "comot" extracted .zip lalu copy ke sdcard untuk flash langsung di handset. (ini signed file) dengan cara rename dulu file .zip itu menjadi format codename type. Handset HTC nya.
Untuk Samsung Format via Odin3 flasher nya biasa memakai format .tar yang isinya seperti compressed file untuk image flash recovery, system, kernel, partition layout dll.
