Root itu cuma memberikan hak akses ke file system. Itu istilah linux sih, kalo di windows ya anggap saja anda logon sbg administrator. Fungsi root sebenarnya untuk oprek file system itu td. Dgn itu diharapkan handheld bisa lbh optimal. Tp kalo salah oprek juga bisa berakibat buruk.. Untuk metode rooting tab 7.7 mungkin yg laen bisa membantu..
