Kalau kita download dari Android Market/Google Play Store akan tersimpan di partisi /cache. Setahu saya akan dihapus kalau HP diboot ulang. Tetapi mungkin juga jika penuh akan dihapus sendiri. Yang pasti file sementara tersebut tidak akan mengurangi internal storage. Karena yang dimaksud dengan internal storage tempat kita menaruh aplikasi+data adanya di partisi /data. Dan tanpa root, kita tidak bisa mengakses /cache dan /data.
Sedangkan untuk file2 yang didownload dengan browser umumnya ada di sdcard di folder download. Tetapi tidak tertutup kemungkinan setiap aplikasi meyimpan file yang didownload di foldernya sendiri.
