yang saya tau sih, GMAIL adalah email nativenya OS android, dimana dia selain berfungsi sebagai email juga sebagai identitas si pengguna, makanya dapet prioritas push email, sementara app EMAIL adalah app penunjang semacam outlook untuk email yang lain (yahoo, gmail sendiri, serta email kantor), dan bisa disetting retrievenya per kapan yang kita mau..
