Kemungkinan begitu, sepertinya akan perlu write file di folder data dari aplikasinya di internal storage waktu restore data. Dan AFAIK kalau perlu write ke situ yang bisa cuma aplikasi pemiliknya saja (Whatsapp), kalau pake 3rd party pasti butuh akses root. Mungkin ada opsi aplikasi lain, tapi yang populer ya Titanium Backup
