First, there was that benchmark scandal. Now, many users have also reported difficulties restoring application backups using the popular Titanium Backup. Thankfully, XDA Senior Member vodkinagdan<http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2896110> quickly found a temporary fix for the issue that could be executed via terminal. The issue comes from damaged SElinux file markers in */data/data*, which are broken after running a data restore using Titanium Backup. The fix, which is described in this thread<http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463116>by Senior Member danieljamie <http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3866535> works by acquiring root access and then executing the following command in terminal: *restorecon** -R -v /data/data*. Unfortunately, however, this has to be done after every set of application restores. To make life easier for everyone, XDA Recognized Developer -<http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=518868> viperboy <http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=518868>-<http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=518868> created a quick app that gains root access and runs the command listed above. This can potentially be a huge time saver for those restoring a large number of apps frequently, since the command has to be executed after every data restore using Titanium. We can only hope and assume the developers of Titanium Backup will fix the issue quickly.
