There has been plenty of speculation as to the success of the Nexus One and to the definition of that success. Google's Nexus One is only available at Google.com/phone, so it's not going to have the traction of say the Droid, which benefits from a ton of brick and mortar retail stores and huge ad campaign. Google informs us that the Nexus One is "a profitable business for us... we are driving the business to be a profitable business". That's good news for Google and consumers who have embraced this new method of purchasing phones.
