I am from Germany (so of course my native language is German) and it is pretty much impossible to get anything Indonesian here at all. Even if my Indonesian language skills were good enough already right now to order something through the internet, I would not be able to afford the shipping costs. I am a student so I do not earn any money. I only took about 20 Indonesian lessons from a government funded school which is the only school I can afford. If I wanted to learn any more Indonesian here I would have to pay for private lessons - not something I can afford. I do not know any Indonesians where I live except for my teacher, so I don't have any friends who could help me there either. As for subtitles being better for learning: In my experience I learn languages very fast through a combination of interesting books and subtitled movies. I was able to improve my English very much with the help of the Harry Potter books and their audio book versions. But as my budget is very limited, I tried to get some e-books because there are just more words in a book than subtitled words on a movie, so I can learn more that way. I have nothing against subtitles, but it is generally more expensive to learn the same amount from subtitles than from a book. But thank you for your suggestion! --- In HYPERLINK "mailto:Id-ebook%40yahoogroups.com"[email protected], Julaybib <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Just curious, which country are you from and how good is your bahasa Indonesia right now? Because I think you'll learn faster by watching movies that have indonesian subtitle on it (or the reverse - indonesian movies with english subtitle) rather than comparing passages from books. So if you live nearby then you can just order those movies or get them from an Indonesian friend. > > Mara <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hello Fina, > > Sorry, but your English does not seem to be good enough to understand > what I wrote correctly.
