Manish Singh ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) announced the availability
of GIMP 1.0. Since there's been a feature freeze for months now, there are
no new features; this version is almost identical to 0.99.31 (save bugfixes).
GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program.
It is a freely distributed piece of software suitable for such tasks as photo
retouching, image composition and image authoring.
