A user account can execute a small code segment causing root owned
processes such as inetd to be killed. See the recent linux-kernel post by
Alexander Viro. The fix is to invert the check on euid from '!euid' to simply
'euid' in fs/fcntl.c:send_sigio(); around line 137 (2.0.x) or near line 195
(2.1.10x). The linux-kernel post includes patches for both Kernel trees as well.
