So, I've added some tools to PrefDoctor that I hope will help us figure out where the problem is. The tools are simple, they monitor and log the size of the cache. They log what apps get launched (sadly they can't tell what runs in the background) they flush the cache when under certain conditions that you specify. I'm hoping they will reduce crashes, and also help us to figure out what circumstances cause crashes.
