Developing for the Treo 680 Smartphone

The Treo 680 is based on Palm OS 5.4.9, which provides improved NVFS memory
management. Developers now have 64MB of RAM to use. The Treo 680 is EDGE
enabled and has a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). 

The Phone Application on the Treo 680 has been updated to version 3.0. This
update features a redesigned multiple-view user interface that integrates
the Main, Dial Pad, Favorites, Contacts, and Call Log views. Phone
Application 3.0 has been rewritten in ARM code, while previous versions were
in 68k. Please refer to the Palm OS Platform Developer Guide for full
details. 

Based on the Intel X-Scale ARM processor running at 312 MHz processor speed,
the Treo 680 combines mobile phone capabilities with wireless email and
messaging, a built-in web browser, and rich media capabilities - all at very
high speeds. The Treo 680 smartphone includes the following features:
