I dont have a lot expectation in performance benchmark. I just dont care that stuff (Actually, I have a "wingman" who focus on performance and scalability and reliability etc etc :d).
>From user perspective, merb is amazing. I just spent two hours with merb. And I think I'm converted. 1. Idea of incorporating an AbstractController in Controller is a real deal. On Rails, I have to use before_something hook to share common functionality among several controllers. (AbstractController kinda remind me with SpringMVC). 2. Parts. Similar to RailEngines, only A LOT simpler. 3. ORM/Test framework agnostic could be a real selling, although it might be doesnt agree with "opionated software" point of view.
