Right now once a user is registered with the WOS2 IS IdP - he is eligible to do following, in addition to the current Cardspace functionalities :

1. An automatically generated OpenID Url will be assigned to him - derived from his user name 2. Download an OpenID Infocard -from the same section of the UI where he is able to download an Infocard [SAML] 3. Login in to the management console using either his OpenID or OpenID Infocard

I'll come up with a set of use cases related to OpenID integration - so we can further discuss the required UI modifications/additions with respect to IdP admin as well as the OpenID user.

Thanks & regards.

Sounds good. What's the user experience like? I mean have we thought thru the details of how an admin would allocate an ID (be it Cardspace or OpenID or both), how the user would manage it etc. etc.? (Has the admin UI also been updated?)

Hi;

I've been working on a PoC to integrate OpenID support with WSO2
Identity Solution.

The PoC was carried out using openid4java [1], released under Apache
License 2.0, on top of the current WSO2 Identity Solution implementation
branched on 30th Nov 2007.

With the OpenID support; WSO2 IS is now [still not merged with the
trunk] capable of;

1. Acting as an OpenID Provider [2]
2. Providing OpenID Relying Party support [2]
3. Acting as an OpenID Information Card Provider [3]
4. Providing OpenID Information Card Relying Party support [3]

Further; with the OpenID integration, the WSO2 Identity Solution will
aid in three means of authentication, as listed below.

1. Infocard [SAML supported] authentication
2. OpenID authentication
3. openID Information Card [OpenID Token supported] authentication

Greatly appreciate your thoughts/suggestions.

Thanks & regards.
