I think you mean by "fast" what I mean when I say "early", and by "slow"
you mean what I mean when I say "late".
I also think you mean by "refuse to acknowledge" what I mean when I say "do
not believe that it is workable".
And when you say "Patrik and Keith", you mean the people who constituted
the rough consensus at the San Jose IETF, and those who share that rough
consensus on the list.
I continue to not believe that just-send-UTF-8 is workable.
