Reread what they said; you have badly restated it.

Sure. The ACE design team is busily working on making a
recommendation to the Working Group, just as we have been tasked to
do all along. It is not ready in this moment; it will hopefully be
soon. That last sentence is as true today as it was many weeks ago.
