The Unicode 3.0.1 beta period is closing on August 25. We encourage everyone who uses the Unicode Character Database files to download and examine these files in detail. In particular, some files have recently been added to this beta as directed by the Unicode Technical Committee at its 84th meeting. While unfortunately our ftp site is still down, one can access all the files at http://www.unicode.org/Public/3.0-Update1/. (Note that the links *within* that directory will not work until the "beta" is removed from the file names.)
