Has anyone successfully imported the GTOPO30 Digital Elevation Model
free data sets into IDRISI. IDRISI 2.0 for Windows seems to support the
file format, which is documented in the README.htm file which can be
downloaded from the site. I have imported the data but cannot get
anything more than a scrambled image. I am using Lat/Long instead of
the strict WGS84 projection which the data is currently in. This, I
believe, is the closest projection IDRISI 2.0 for Windows has to that
specific projection. If I am wrong let me know. If anyone has any
suggestions please let me know.

This is the web site that I downloaded the data from:
 http://edcwww.cr.usgs.gov/landdaac/gtopo30/gtopo30.html

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to use the
unfortunately coarse data to create a DEM of Nova Scotia, Canada. I have

some maps which I want to create and the DEM is necessary.

Thanks for the help,
in advance...
