--- Start of Idrisi List message
Hi all,
I suppose the following may sound a relatively stupid question, yet the
issue is causing me quite a bit of delay, and I would like to solve it, if
possible.
I have xyz files (extracted from contours) that I have to convert into a
DEM. I have imported them xyzidris, then I used interpol to obtain the
dem. All fine, but just before beginning the very operation, Idrisi
complains: 'Vector file contains too many points (maximum is 16000)'. I
have downcutted the file to 8000 points, but the Idrisi just wouldn't go
ahead altogether. Beside, the downcutting operation is quite consuming,
virtually manual copy and paste, and it also leads to file segmentation,
which is not quite what I'm crazy for, after all..
I tend to imagine the solution is relatively easy... Would anybody out
there have a suggestion?
Many thanks in advance for your patience!
