--- Start of Idrisi List message Hi all. Recently, I posted a question regarding the automatic vectorising of features from a raster image. The response was quite impressive, suggesting that many people have looked to solve the same problem in the past. Three main suggestions were provided - MapScan (http://www.undp.org/popin/softproj/software/mapscan.htm) R2V (www.ablesw.com/r2v) Corel OCR-Trace A colleague of mine has investigated these options and found the R2V software to be very good indeed. It costs 1500 USD. MapScan was free but he thought it was rather "lightweight". Hope this helps others. My thanks once again to all those who helped me.
