One way which should s to give the file a ".prn" extension and use
the SSTIDRIS Lotus import module.
It is in the Import / Software-Specific Format menu of the
Emport/Export utility.

Good luck

Greg

Gary -

I would have thought that the Import/SSTIDRIS function would have coped OK.
It expects ASCII data in the old Lotus .PRN format (i.e. gridded and space
delimited. I think you may have to ensure your file's name is
********.PRN). However, if it doesn't work, I would use some text editor
(WORD for example) to find and replace all the spaces with Carriage Returns.
This would then put the data into standard IDRISI format (ASCII of course).
You would then simply have to DOCUMENT the file for it to be usable.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Graham

menue.

Dear Gary,

If you have a look at the GRASS import module you will see that you can add
a header that allows easy import. This is an example of the header. There
is a carraige return at the end of each row.

north: 325000
south: 294000
east: 374000
west: 336000
rows: 620
cols: 760
