Applications are invited for a lectures-hip in Geographical Information
Science
in the Department of Geography. The successful candidate will join one of
the
best-known research groups in the UK, develop a research programme, and
teach
on the MSc GIS and undergraduate programmes. Applicants with expertise in
any
area of Geographical Information Science are invited to apply.
Applicants should possess a PhD (or equivalent experience) at the time of
appointment. They will be expected to develop an original research
programme
in spatial information theory, and be able to transfer those concepts into
computer code. Candidates will be expected to have publications in referred
journals that demonstrate their abilities or develop a publication profile.
A willingness to interact with colleagues in other departmental research
groups
and other departments in the University will be a distinct advantage.
