yes, we have used gtopo30 and extracted a dem image. it is a little
coarse, with a pixel height value for every 30 arc second, which is
approximately 1 km grid.
but i am lookiing forward to the results of teh space shuttle, earlier
this yaer, that is supposed to make available a dem with a
horizintal resoluition of 90m.
