Hello all:
I've recently found a thesis in our department in which the author describes
[in less detail than i'd like] a simple procedure to open MSS and TM data in
IDRISI 2.0 from our department's CD ROM collection of .DAT files
(SCENE1.DAT, etc...).
Procedure is described as follows:
File>Import>General Conversion Tools>BIPIDRIS>Generic BIP then, enter the
pertenant data (a very simple and straightforward procedure), then, voila,
she claims the image(s) is opened and associated .DOC file is created. I
tried this using both the Generic BIP and Landsat MSS BIP-2 commands, but I
get an ERROR box: 5 "File Access Denied." No other program is concurrently
using this file, and in addition I tried changing the TM and MSS file
extentions to: .BIP and .BIL without luck. Any suggestions?
*I'm easily able to open all the same .DAT files in MultiSpecW32, for
example without any problem.
Thanks,
