--- Start of Idrisi List message Fellow Idrisians, Ladies and Gentlemen I imagine that many of you have had the same problem, so if any of you out there have solutions I will summarize the responses and post them for everyone else: PROBLEM: Export an Idrisi map composition (i.e. a raster file with vector overlays and possibly some embellishments such as North arrow etc) 1) within a diagram with annotations or 2) embellish it outside Idrisi with text, arrows, scale bar etc which cannot be done or only poorly in Idrisi (version 2). ATTEMPTED SOLUTIONS: 1) Export .map files to Word or a destop publishing software; Problem: no other software can read 2) Screen capture map and export; Problem: poor resolution, especially problematic if the original is a scanned aerial photograph 3) Export the raster layer as a .tif, for example, and the vector layer as a .dxf, for example; Problem: the spatial co-ordinates of each layer with respect to each other is lost, so when you try to put them back together in another (non GIS) software, such as CorelDraw, they don't match up with each other. Any ideas would be appreciated!
