- I have not heard back from anyone else incl 'Anita'  regarding solutions for 
importing 
TERRA MODIS HDF data into Idrisi.

Some Internet (re)searching, however, lead me to:
EOSGIS DATA TRANSLATOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT 
http://heineken.gsfc.nasa.gov/eosgis/eghome.html
that claims to have developed two-way converters between HDF and various ESRI
formats incl ARCRASTER format that can be imported into Idrisi. To get hold of the 
converter software one needs to register first, which I did twonse days ago.  As yet, 
I 
have not got any response to my registration so I can obviouslt not guarantee this 
solution will workout ;^)
