Dear Fisher,
try with the module FLIP, it did the trick for me. Careful when you unzip
the files you download from EROS, you have to select the option TAR.

good luck

Oscar

Subject: Idrisi-L : Data Conversion

--- Start of Idrisi List message
We have downloaded two types of file:

1. BIL files with gridded world population statistics from the
      CIESIN web site.

We cannot get the Idrisi BILIDRIS module to work with these
files at all. We keep getting an error message. "Output
must be in the range 0-32XXXX" where XXXX is some number
I cannot remember - but I am sure you know the one!

2. We down loaded GTOPO30 data the EROS data centre. The data
is delivered with a .DEM extension, and we guessed this might
be a USGS DEM format - but Idrisi's DEMIDRIS simply gave an
     error message and stopped trying.

I know there was a posting recently about GTOPO30, but I found
    no answer in the archive.

We are working with Idrisi32 with the upgrade patch.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Pete
