Hello,
I would like to present at the next IEPG, prior to the IETF 97 meeting in Seoul.
I work at the registry for .nl domain names and together with my colleague
Giovane Moura and researchers from USC (John Heidemann, Lan Wei) and University
of Twente (Ricardo Schmidt, Wouter de Vries)
we carried out a study on the DNS Root events on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 2015.
On these dates, the DNS root servers received a high number of DNS queries, and
we used, among others, the RIPE Atlas network to analyse how IP anycast reacted
under such load.
Here?s a link to the technical report:
http://www.isi.edu/%7ejohnh/PAPERS/Moura16a.pdf
The study is also a paper, accepted at this year?s Internet Measurement
Conference (ACM IMC 2016).
I think that our results are interesting for the audience of IEPG as well and I
would be happy to present them in Seoul this year.
Moritz
